Stationery Design

Let’s talk stationery. Stationery is the first impression your guests have into your wedding, but where do you begin?

The Save The Date is the first glimpse of your wedding and is what all your guests will be talking about. It allows your guests to hold that special date and creates anticipation for the invitation to follow. Given the importance of this initial piece of wedding communication, it can be daunting trying to design something that accurately and fully encapsulates your wedding vibe.

For us, stationery is the first step in creating the overall feel for the wedding and are therefore one of the most important components of the design process. Working on the invitation design with our clients is a way for us to get the creative juices flowing and help the couple think outside the box. Every couple wants to be different, and as Planners, we don’t want duplicate designs, so it benefits us to help push the envelope (pun intended!) and think about ways to create really inspiring designs that reflect the couple overall.

At Vanity Affair Events we like to cut out the intimidation factor that can be associated with the invitations and formalities that follow, so we take control of all communication with the designer regarding our clients’ vision and ideas. From there, we really try and break out of the common design mold to tell our clients’ story through design.

We ask our clients to upload 7-10 images so we can see what they’re gravitating towards. In those images we can get very solid direction as to their style; whether that be color, paper wax seals or stamps. So when you’re starting to think about your invitations, imagine what you want your guests to feel when they open them through your personality and style. Allow yourself to really break all the boundaries and go for it!

Being able to help our couples create their dream wedding by really getting behind their vision of what their wedding will look like right from the beginning is the best part of our job. Here are a couple of examples of our client’s custom suites!

Love,

Us
