Passport to Paradise

In January, after only a few weeks into the new year, the KTE team headed off to Puerto Vallarta to soak up some much-needed sunshine and to celebrate the union of our lovely clients, Missy and Trey. This couple, who have been sweethearts since their college days, chose Vidanta, a resort which Missy’s family frequented annually for over 20 years, as their wedding destination. A place that held so many memories full of milestone celebrations, it only felt right this would be where they would begin their next chapter. Despite the challenges that come with planning an international wedding, we always set out with one mindset: our clients only role is to be present with their loved ones, and that’s exactly what Missy and Trey did.

The wedding was exquisitely captured by Katie Edwards, whose photography style perfectly captured our vision of a timeless sunset-inspired design. Her calming demeanor and ability to adapt to any situation made her an ideal fit for the day, producing some of the most organic and candid imagery,

On the day of the wedding, the weather was a beautiful and sunny 75 degrees, typical of Puerto Vallarta, which allowed Ale Magana Art & Flowers to effortlessly create a romantic garden-style ceremony that blended seamlessly with the surrounding scenery. Cultural elements were incorporated into the reception, with local hand-painted Mexican tiles serving as place cards for each guest. These were complemented by custom menus created by Kelsey Malie Design. The combination of exposed wood, rattan, soft linen, and classic glassware created a tasteful mix of whimsical and traditional elements that hinted at a unique coastal design, while in a tropical setting.

The Wash Park Band flew in from Denver at the couple’s request, and from start to finish, the dance floor was packed as they played a variety of classic hits and an upbeat rendition of “Shout,” bringing the night to a close as beachfront fireworks lit up the sky for almost three minutes.

As the final fireworks illuminated the night sky, and guests embraced to the last song, our team experienced a bittersweet feeling of accomplishment and our farewells to Missy and Trey, marking the end of our first celebration of 2023. We have many exciting projects on the horizon, and we can’t wait to share them all with you.

With Love,

The KTE Team
