With fall coming to an end and winter around the corner, the brisk air has the KTE team reminiscing on our whirlwind of summer weddings. Rewinding back to the first wedding of our 2022 summer season, we were fortunate enough to plan a whimsical garden wedding for a very special couple, KelCee and Russell. We were lucky enough to have the opportunity to get to know these two in 2020 while planning KelCee’s twin sister’s wedding in Central Oregon. It is really special to be alongside our couples and their families for every type of celebratory milestone in their lives. Not only were we able to curate two breathtakingly different events, but we also had the opportunity to create intimate memories and relationships with these individuals.

KelCee and Russell’s wedding fell nothing short of magical. The second we stepped foot on their family’s estate, we knew that this wedding had to happen there. Getting to coordinate an event at someone’s childhood home leaves us with a nostalgic feel. Thinking back on warm summer nights and long days on the lake gives us a whole new meaning and reason to honor the property. 

KelCee and Russell gave us a refreshing dose of color with their design. Getting to incorporate tasteful pops of lilac, honey yellow, and poppy red truly brought the vision to life. When first stepping into the space, it felt as if you were transported to a lush wildflower field orchestrated by Swoon Floral Design. 

It seemed as if every direction you turned, there was another sweet detail to note. One of my personal favorites was our “potting bench” escort table. This concept was inspired by rustic English potting benches. Guests were able to come over and admire the beautiful patinated pots and find their name cards, shown on seed packets made by Letters and Dust, which contained real wildflower seeds; no detail was overlooked. While it was extremely special getting to execute this event, what really tied it together was getting to witness two kind and wonderful people join together in marriage amongst their closest friends and family. At KTE, we often reflect on how lucky we are to get to work with such wonderful people. It truly is a heartwarming experience, to say the least.
