A Dreamy Cottage Core-Inspired Wedding

Amidst the breathtaking landscape of Oregon, Oakwood Gardens served as the perfect picturesque oasis for Maud and Nick’s wedding inspired by the gardens of Monet. Surrounded by lush shrubbery, blooming flowers, and towering trees, the couple and their guests were transported into a storybook realm. Due to Oregon’s historically rainy springs we ensured that we had all hands on deck to execute a successful event regardless of weather conditions.

Sarah with Arche Creative meticulously crafted various scenarios for the big day. Planning an outdoor wedding always carries an element of unpredictability, so it’s essential to have alternative options, In preparation to be prepared for any scenario. With a positive outlook and an ounce of prayer, the wedding day greeted us with beautiful weather—75 degrees and sunny. The entire celebration unfolded throughout the enchanting Oakwood Garden property.

The ceremony took place in a secluded garden area, adding an organic and romantic ambiance. Guests were greeted with glasses of champagne upon arrival, setting a celebratory tone. The seating arrangement followed an organic layout, curving around to keep the focus on the bride and groom. The bride, Maud, stunned in a custom lace gown designed by Elizabeth Dye, exuding timeless elegance and enhancing her natural beauty.

The bridesmaids complemented the enchanting atmosphere, wearing an array of dresses from Reformation. Floral prints in soft, cool-toned pastel hues captured the spirit of a blossoming garden, allowing each bridesmaid to showcase her unique personality while maintaining a harmonious look.

Stationery by Kelsey Malie tied the evening together with intricate printing methods featuring blind-pressed floral and frame-style menus. A team favorite includes custom-illustrated geese, which could be spotted throughout the event. A subtle nod to their dog, Goose. In a heartwarming moment, Goose even made a cameo appearance for a few precious photos, adding an extra touch of personality to the occasion.

During the cocktail hour, guests meandered through the charming property, enjoying the beauty of their surroundings. Pop-Up Oyster Bar was nestled under the venue’s grand staircase, baring only the freshest oysters, adding an indulgent touch to the occasion. Around the corner, a custom escort board featuring floral accents guided guests to their seats with a charming feminine touch.

The reception, held beneath a sailcloth tent, exuded romance with delicate embroidered linens, wildflowers, and a show-stopping traditional wedding cake by Dream Cakes. After dinner, guests took to the dance floor, swept away by the live music from Blue Wave Band, dancing under the stars until the very last moment.

Despite the initial weather uncertainties, the day turned out to be a picture-perfect celebration. This serves as a reminder of the importance of contingency plans, regardless of the time of year. Embracing the beauty of nature, this dreamy cottage core-inspired wedding created an unforgettable experience for the couple and their loved ones.
